On 25 August 2008, the TU Berlin was awarded the certificate "audit: family-friendly university” and supports various institutional measures that facilitate the successful coordination of professional and family life. The Family Service Office [2] – which was established in April 2009 – coordinated the work and has assumed administrative responsibilities in this sector. The Research Support Service provides academics with comprehensive information regarding counseling services and application formalities within the context of third-party funding projects, the possibilities of part-time arrangements, extensions for maternity or parental leave, etc., to the extent these options exist in the respective funding programs of third-party donors.
