“How to find EU funding for my own research topic?” Bottom-up funding programmes in Horizon 2020
The EU's funding programmes are well-known for their pre-defined topics and their collaborative research projects. However the current framework programme Horizon 2020 also provides a considerable amount of funding for basic research and bottom-up research questions from all research disciplines. This short input will give you on overview of the following bottom-up funding programmes within Horizon 2020:
- European Research Council (ERC)
- Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions (MSCA – ITN and IF)
- Future and Emerging Technologies (FET)
In
addition, the EU Office of TU Berlin will give an overview of its
support services in relation to the above funding programmes. The
event addresses researchers of TU Berlin (postdocs, group leaders,
full professors and doctoral students about to finish their PhD) who
are looking for funding for their own research projects.
